The free BBQs here are consistently clean, which sounds like a small thing until you've used the alternative. Lions Park sits along the canal on Noosa Parade, a few minutes' walk from the Hastings Street chaos, and it earns its reputation as the local pressure valve. Calm water, a small sandy bank where kids can wade in without fighting waves, and decent shade make it the obvious call for families with under-10s. The playground is modest but well-suited to little ones. Toilets are nearby and well maintained. Parking is the one genuine friction point, so arrive early or walk in from the main strip. It's not a destination so much as a discovery: the kind of spot you file away after stumbling across it once and return to every visit.
Great park. Very clean BBQs (free), lovely, small playground (suitable for smaller children) and a toilet block nearby. It sits right on a canal so has a small beach and calm water too.
The gentle flow of the river provided a serene backdrop for the day's adventures. The sun's warmth enhanced the beauty of the landscape as it reflected on the water. Finding a place to take a break while navigating the river could be a delightful necessity. It was a truly memorable experience with the backdrop of nature's beauty surrounding everything. The entire day was perfectly set with the river's current as it gently moved along.
Nice relaxing place for a Sunday family day! Barbecue and bathrooms facilities well maintained and easy access, carparking is a bit disputed.

Noosa Heads QLD
North-facing and naturally sheltered, Noosa Main Beach stays calm enough for young swimmers well out from shore. The boardwalk connects directly to Hastings Street's cafes, lifeguards are on duty, and the surf club anchors the western end. Parking is the one thing that will test your patience.

Tewantin QLD
A short but steep trail off the old Tewantin-Noosa highway leads to a 360-degree lookout spanning Noosa to Teewah Beach. Go early, bring a picnic, and take the first viewpoint as a warm-up. The summit is worth the sweat.

Beautiful park. We stopped the pontoon there and enojed a beautiful view of. The river. The park has with BBQs, toilets and a great kids area.
Very nice play area for the kids away from the madness of Hastings St and the beach. Great of you want the little ones to have a dip in the canal with a play on the sand with plenty of shade on offer. Good Play facilities for those under 10. Only a few minutes walk from the Hastings Street.
Noosa Heads QLD
Where the Noosa River meets the ocean, this sand spit is the local's answer to the main beach crowds. Calm inlet swimming, wide ocean views, and a quiet that Hastings Street simply cannot offer. Best at sunrise or dusk.
