The Noosa River frontage along Gympie Terrace is the kind of place that makes you understand why people pay what they pay to live nearby. Tewantin Noosa Lions Park runs along the Broadwater with BBQ facilities, a playground, grassy space for walking, and direct river access for swimming and paddleboarding. It's a genuine community park, clean and well-used, with water sports hire close by for anyone who arrives unprepared. Dogs are welcome on leash, though bring your own waste bags. The one honest caveat: parking gets competitive on weekends and in summer. Come early, or walk in from further along the terrace. The river here is calm enough for kids and paddleboards alike, and the BBQ spots fill up fast on sunny afternoons for good reason.
I could understand why everyone is buying along the Tewantin Noosa river now. What a place to be in for a nice holiday. The river area is clean and extremely pleasant. There are lots of shops and water sports hire along the river. On the dry side, there are playground, BBQ, and sitting area.
The whole area is quite nice. Bring the kids downs and head to a barbecue along the river and a play the playground. Plenty of room for walks and a quick swim.
Perfect place for a BBQ, swim and play. It's a popular spot so parking can be tricky, but worth a visit and explore.

Coolum Beach
At low tide, Stumers Creek opens into a wide, flat run of beach where dogs sprint into the shallows and the morning crowd is more calm than chaotic. Pet wash stations, clean bathrooms, good parking. The evening vibe is quieter than you'd expect, and better for it.

Weyba Downs
A flat lakeside loop with a suspension bridge, shallow water across most of the lake, and reliable south-easterly winds that draw kite boarders from across the region. Bring your own everything: no BBQs, no taps, no restrooms. Dogs and kites are the main event.

Beautiful spot by the river. Absolutely love coming down here. Great spot for a paddle board. Dogs on leash.
Pixel (my beagle) had a great walk and we found 173 excellent spots to pee. Human exercise equipment and dog posing platforms (apparently called bbq tables) also cover most of the park. No dog poo bags so Pixel went home on a full tummy :(
Noosa Heads QLD
The practical hub for Noosa Heads National Park's coastal walking trails. Cold drinks and ice cream at the finish line, coffee and clean toilets at the start. Friendly staff, busy car park, and a network of trails worth the detour.
