The suspension bridge is the detail that surprises first-timers. It's a flat, easy loop from there, with the lake opening out wide enough to make sense of why kite boarders treat this as their home base. A south-easterly wind is the signal to come; the water stays knee-deep across most of the lake, which makes it forgiving for beginners and ideal for wing and kite hobbies alike. Dogs are enthusiastically welcome, and the shallow foreshore gives them somewhere to wade. Pack accordingly though: no BBQs, no restrooms, no water taps on site, and the wetland edges can flood after rain. This is a bring-your-own-everything kind of park. Families with a picnic rug and a kite get the most out of it. Everyone else should temper expectations and enjoy the quiet.

Love the new suspension bridge and it's and easy flat walk along the trails 👣 Nice place for a picnic for the whole family, including your fur baby 🐕
Top spot to set up and launch kite boards. Best with a SE wind. Shallow water (knee deep) across most of the lake.
Mostly suitable for those who want to do some water sports like kayaking. But also a nice place if you wanna take some nature walks, especially if you have a dog and even more so if your dog loves a swim

Noosa Heads QLD
Free BBQs, calm canal water, and a shaded playground for the under-10s. Lions Park sits minutes from Hastings Street but feels a world away from it. The small sandy bank makes it the go-to for families wanting a quiet swim without the surf.

Sunshine Beach
Wide, exposed surf beach running north from Access #29 on Seaview Terrace, where dogs go properly off-leash into real ocean waves. The staircase is steep, the parking is tight, and the crowd of regulars is out early. Go before 6:30am to get the sand to yourselves.

No water, limited seating, no BBQs, no restrooms. All wetlands seam to flood with any rain, but good for kite & wing hobbies
Lovely spot to take your kite for a decent surf and chill out with the family. It obviously can get quite windy here.
Noosa Heads QLD
Walk to the far end of Main Beach and you hit the groyne, a rocky breakwater that earns its reputation as one of the quieter sunset spots in Noosa. Lifesavers on site, easy access, and a view that the main beach strip cannot match.
