The pirate ship climbing frame is the centrepiece, but the real draw is the Noosa River frontage — a small sandy beach where small kids can wade in safely while parents claim a shaded picnic table nearby. The grassed area is generous, the BBQs and public toilets are right there, and on a good day there's live music drifting through. It's a well-evolved spot: the riverfront walkway runs directly past, a long flat concrete path lined with trees that's worth doing before or after to burn off whatever energy the playground didn't. Weekends fill up fast and parking on Gympie Terrace gets genuinely difficult. Come early, or drop the family off and circle back. Shade coverage gets mixed reviews, so a mid-morning start beats the midday heat.
We have been to this area so many times over the years and it has evolved into one of the best play areas for small kids. There is the Noosa river with a small beach for safe swimming, a large grassed play area and the play park. Public toilets at available. There are lots of shady spots and a large covered area. The carpark is right there if you can get a park. Parking is challenging on weekends. A drop off may be required. The walk way along the Noosa river passes right by the playground and offers a long pleasant ootion to burn off more energy. The walk along the wide concrete path is one of the nicest I have been on with lots of trees and the Noosa river as backdrops.
Right on the Noosa river with a large open grassy area and lots of play equipment for the kids. Can be hard to get a car park as it is very popular. Good for a swim in the river as well. Toilets right next by.
Currently no shade. Cute playground but way too hot in the middle of the day.

Tewantin QLD
A short but steep trail off the old Tewantin-Noosa highway leads to a 360-degree lookout spanning Noosa to Teewah Beach. Go early, bring a picnic, and take the first viewpoint as a warm-up. The summit is worth the sweat.

Coolum Beach
At low tide, Stumers Creek opens into a wide, flat run of beach where dogs sprint into the shallows and the morning crowd is more calm than chaotic. Pet wash stations, clean bathrooms, good parking. The evening vibe is quieter than you'd expect, and better for it.

Went to the Dog Expo today at the park near the Yacht Club.We enjoyed ourselves so much. Guest singers. Dog trick comp & best dressed doggy. Lots of food, doggy stalls and lots of laughs. Great Day
Lovely medium sized playground near to the river views. Several picnic areas, toilet facilities and BBQs. Large grassy areas and even live music playing on occasion.
Sunshine Beach
Wide, exposed surf beach running north from Access #29 on Seaview Terrace, where dogs go properly off-leash into real ocean waves. The staircase is steep, the parking is tight, and the crowd of regulars is out early. Go before 6:30am to get the sand to yourselves.
