Tucked into the Banksia Drive precinct, away from the main strip's foot traffic, Comma is a day spa that takes its cues from the pause the name implies. The offering centres on bodywork and skin treatments in a setting designed to feel removed from Byron's busier rhythms. Without a deep pool of reviews to draw from, it's difficult to call specifics on standout treatments or signature practitioners, but the location and category positioning suggest a clientele looking for something quieter than the town's more prominent wellness operations. Worth a direct inquiry about what's currently on the treatment menu before booking, as smaller day spas in Byron tend to evolve their offerings seasonally. Book ahead regardless. Availability at independently run Byron spas rarely stretches far.
From the moment I walked in, the experience felt calm, refined, and genuinely luxurious. Linna (the therapist) was highly skilled, intuitive, and professional, taking the time to keep checking in to see if the pressure exactly what | needed. Will visit again for sure.
Needed a reset after being in the bush for a few days and this place was perfect. Booked the couples nirvana and massage package with facial. Magnesium pool and salt scrub are great. Annie on reception was friendly and helped us to tailor the whole thing to our precise needs. Would highly recommend!
Very cool and modern spa / bathhouse. Haven’t used the bathhouse facilities, so can’t comment there, but treatment room had a comfortable massage table and perfect dimmed lighting. The therapist Sanae was kind and experienced, you could tell she was genuinely trying to make it the best experience for me possible. They offer interesting treatments, not just massages, which definitely adds to the experience. Would love to return for the bathhouse.

On the quieter Byron Street end of town, Mahi Health Club takes a whole-body approach to wellness: treatments, movement, and recovery under one roof. Close to the beach without the Main Street noise. Worth contacting directly to find the right fit.

Byron Bay
A massage studio on Jonson Street, positioned for convenience as much as anything else. Central enough to fit around a beach day, with the standard range of relaxation and remedial treatments you'd expect from a Byron day spa.
Byron Bay in winter is the version locals prefer. Whale migrations off the headland, hinterland day trips in cool clear air, wellness retreats you can actually get into, and accommodation prices that reflect the season. June through August is not the off-season. It is the right season.
Byron Bay in autumn is the right time for a genuine wellness week: fewer crowds, better light, and a hinterland cool enough to make morning yoga worth getting up for. This seven-day itinerary structures the week around how the body actually resets, from ocean kayaking and hinterland spa days to a dawn balloon flight over the Tweed Valley. Real days, real recommendations, real order.

From a single morning session to a full week in the hinterland.
I've come here 3 times over the past 4 years & each time, had the most incredible massage experiences. The most beautiful environment curated to focus on peaceful relaxation. Thank you for such an amazing experience each time, I will keep coming back. I reccomend Comma to anyone who comes to Byron.
My massage with Marine was so relaxing! I could feel the tension leaving my body. I didn’t want it to end and could have stayed in that cosy bed all day. Thank you again so much for such a nurturing and caring massage. I can’t wait to come back :)
