Porter Street sits quietly behind Byron's main drag, and Bende occupies that in-between space well. A wellness studio operating out of the c2 building complex, it offers bodywork and therapeutic treatments away from the more tourist-facing day spas closer to town. Without a substantial review trail to draw from, it's hard to say whether the practitioners are exceptional or merely competent, but the location signals a local-facing clientele rather than a passing holiday crowd. That's usually a good sign. If you're after a treatment that doesn't come with a gift-shop attached, this is worth a call. Book ahead, confirm what's on offer, and ask about availability. Small studios like this run on regulars and word of mouth, which tends to keep standards honest.
Love! The teachers and studio are incredible. A warm, friendly and inviting environment with the most knowledgeable teachers. I’ve been mixing it up between reformer and yoga. Fee’s classes are my favourite - they’re so unique, and you’ll learn to understand your body in ways you never imagined. Thank you!
It was so hard for me to exercise and go to the gym, now at the Bender I'm going happily everyday. It's challenging but interesting and nice! I love to go early and in 45min I'm done and ready for the day. I'm going everyday for 3 weeks and never felt so strong in my body. So grateful for Bender❤️
Bende has such a beautiful community and such a welcoming, lovely environment to be in. I love bende’s versatility with the wide range of classes you can do, this opens up many new options to try out and see what suits you best- i love it! the instructors are also lovely, correcting you if needed for ur body to avoid injury and always giving workouts that make you feel amazing after!

Brooklet
Award-winning wellness retreat in 25 acres of hinterland rainforest. Yoga, spa, organic kitchen.

Byron Bay
Just off the main strip on Marvell Street, Byron Medi Spa sits between a beauty clinic and a day spa, with medical-grade treatments alongside more familiar relaxation offerings. Upper-end pricing reflects the clinical focus. Better suited to a planned booking than a spontaneous visit.

Talofa
Out on Bangalow Road in Talofa, this day spa trades Byron's foot traffic for acreage and quiet. The rural setting is the selling point: further from town than most, closer to the kind of stillness that's harder to find in the main drag.
Byron Bay has more yoga studios per capita than almost anywhere in Australia. The harder question is which one is right for you. This guide covers drop-in classes, day retreats, and multi-day residential programmes, with practical advice on styles, prices, booking windows, and what to bring. From a single morning session to a full week in the hinterland.
Byron Bay's wellness scene runs deeper than day spas and crystals. From a 25-acre hinterland retreat with an Ayurvedic spa program to a quiet studio on Banksia Drive that runs on regulars, the range is real. Here are the ten best spas and wellness centres in Byron Bay, ranked by what they actually deliver.
Bende is truly amazing !! Not to mention the amazing Dani who was so helpful signing me up and checking in with how I was going. All the teachers are so lovely and provide a wealth of knowledge to all their classes. So much variety and always inviting ⭐️⭐️
Bende is truly a sanctuary in the heart of Byron. The space is beautiful, light-filled, and thoughtfully designed to support presence and inner calm. Every teacher I’ve practiced with brings such depth and care to their classes from reformer Pilates to grounding yoga. As a yoga teacher myself, I deeply appreciate the intention and integrity behind each session at Bende. The energy here is warm, welcoming, and aligned with conscious living. I always leave feeling refreshed, empowered, and more connected. Grateful to have this space in the Byron community!
