The David Low Way drive-through does the job when you need something fast and cheap on the Sunshine Coast. It's a McDonald's: the Big Mac is the Big Mac, the fries are the fries, and the price point is hard to argue with. That said, reviews consistently flag order accuracy as a real issue here, and the McCafé coffee draws particular criticism for inconsistency. If you're after a McCafé long black, manage expectations accordingly. The drive-through can also cause friction around mobile orders, so confirm your pickup method before you arrive. Best approached as a pit stop rather than a destination. For the price, it delivers the basics often enough, but double-check your bag before you pull away.

What People Say
Went to get sundaes and got ripped off - half filled - order wrong, choc on top caramel on the bottom wasn’t enough soft serve to even do it - asked the manager and apparently that’s McDonald’s amount . At least offered refund but seriously $5.35 and you half filled it ? Pathetic and crap response from the ‘manager’ - drive past and get 2 litre tub from the super market - if this is your new standard maccas it’s shite !
How hard is it to just put the right things in a paper bag. There’s even a list on the bag to tell you each item. Always forgets to put the nuggets and/or sauce in my bag which I PAID FOR. Ordered on my phone and when I went through drive thru upon arrival, I was refused drive thru service because apparently I selected to pickup at the counter. There was no such option when ordering. I even asked politely if they could still just give me my food at the drive thru window but that somehow seemed impossible. INCOMPETENT.
If you want actual coffee, stay far away from McDonald’s. Their Long Black tastes like someone washed their feet in it.
As we all know McDonalds coffee isn’t top of the range but it amazes me how there’s so much inconsistency between them all. The coffee at Coolum is terrible, I believe there’s an issue with their machine because the coffee is extremely weak, I’ve even ordered a triple shot iced latte and it still looks white. You can see from the colour alone it’s not right. Where is the quality control throughout the staff to notice these things?
This place is horrendous and needs an intervention from head office. It’s literal food roulette! The orders are ALWAYS wrong, the staff are rude and simply can’t be bothered. And if you expect normal things like pickles in your burger, or warm chips that aren’t burned or soggy- don’t! And if you want that flavoured drink you ordered- good luck- there a pretty high chance you’ll receive plain tap water with bubbles. You’ve been warned- It’s absolutely beyond bad!

bp
Nooville QLD
A servo close to the Noosaville boat ramp with a loyal regular crowd and a counter hand who'll remind you about deals you've already forgotten. Coffee is available, though the machines have their off days. Convenient, functional, occasionally charming.

Aromas Restaurant & Bar Noosa
Noo Heads QLD
Prime Hastings Street real estate with cane-back chairs and a terrace built for watching Noosa go by. The croissants and lemon tart are the move. Coffee is solid. Come for something light and a long sit, not a serious breakfast.

Chip 'n' Mix
Noo Heads QLD
Build-your-own loaded chips on Hastings Street, with the Birria sauce as the standout topping. Fun in concept and genuinely casual in feel, though the price-to-portion ratio divides opinion. Good for a novelty lunch near the beach, especially with kids.

Coolum Beach Hotel
Coolum Beach
Franco's hospitality and a seafood tower worth ordering define this community pub just back from Coolum Beach. Fast kitchen, fair prices, and a vibe that works for families, seniors, and Friday-night regulars alike.
