The ferry crossing to get here is half the point. Park Lane sits on Noosa North Shore, a stretch of beach that still feels genuinely removed from the main drag, and that isolation is the whole appeal. It runs as a family holiday park with powered sites, cabins, and a restaurant that reviewers consistently rate as a highlight. The general store is stocked well enough to get you through. Dog-friendly, which matters on this side of the river. The trade-off is infrastructure that hasn't always kept pace with demand: powered sites can stretch a single lead past its limit during peak school holidays, and bore water is the reality here. Book a family cabin over a standard room, and come in the shoulder season if you want the space without the crowd. Thirty years of holiday memories, with a few rough edges still being smoothed out.

Overall great stay at Park Lane Noosa North Shore. Great activities for kids, amenities were ample and reasonably clean. Restaurant is great and they had a fair bit of stuff in the general store. Down sides: we had a powered site but there's only 1 electrical tower shared with a lot of sites and it was very far from our site. I had a 10m lead but that wasn't enough, I had to daisy chain off the neighbours which was probably not super safe to have power boards chained off power boards. Being a public holiday over school hols it was obviously busy, so much so the power system couldn't keep up and we had a couple of blackouts. Thankfully I had a backup battery otherwise we might have had to throw out some perishables in the fridge. They did offer to store perishables at reception but that's a major pain. The markings of where each site starts and ends were pretty unclear so we just had to kind of work it out. I can see it being a source of arguments if people are more headstrong/less considerate. Overall would definitely come back. I hear new management is likely to be improving things even further.
We had a lovely stay at Park Lane Big4 Noosa North Shore. After a terrible situation of another Holiday House Big4 Staff helped us out with our last minute Accommodation without any hesitation. The Big4 is well organised, family-friendly, & very welcoming. The Staff provide clear information for everyone to enjoy their stay, & the facilities are very clean & well maintained. The Park feels very safe, with regular patrols & very helpful after-hours support if needed. It’s fantastic that the Place is Dog-friendly,. Parking is easy, & the layout of the whole place made it simple to get around. A relaxing, well-run place with a great atmosphere — perfect for families, couples, & anyone looking for a comfortable & enjoyable stay. We would definitely happily return here.

Apartment-style suites with full kitchens, two pools, and a free shuttle to Hastings Street. The front desk is genuinely helpful, the coffee is good, and the location hits a practical sweet spot between Noosa Junction and the beach.

Three pools, a sauna, hot tubs, and a bouncy pillow for the kids: Ivory Palms earns its family-friendly reputation on facilities alone. Apartments vary in quality, so book direct and ask for a refurbished room. Two minutes from the Noosa River.

Noosa in autumn is the sweet spot: warm water, soft light, and crowds that have thinned to the people who actually live here. This is a two-day couples itinerary built around a float session in Noosaville, dinner on the Laguna Bay boardwalk, and the slow Saturday morning the river practically insists on.
Autumn in Noosa is genuinely good for families. The water stays warm, the crowds thin, and the flat riverfront paths are pushchair-friendly for kilometres. From calm swimming spots and kid-friendly cafes to holiday parks a ferry ride from the tourist strip, here is the local edit on where to take the kids and how to keep everyone fed.
Beachfront in Noosa means different things depending on where you look. Direct sand access, a five-minute walk, or ocean views from a balcony are not the same thing. This guide is precise about that distinction, organised by budget, and honest about what each property actually delivers. From the surf club-adjacent sites at Coolum to the champagne check-in on Hastings Street.
Noosa is one of the few places in Australia where bringing your dog doesn't feel like an apology. Off-leash beach windows, outdoor cafes with water bowls, and accommodation that genuinely means it. Here is the practical guide: which beaches, what times, where to eat, and where to stay with a dog in tow.
Noosa is not a one-size accommodation market. You can sleep in a heritage guesthouse in the national park fringe, a riverside resort in Noosaville, or a beachfront hostel in Sunshine Beach, all within twenty minutes of each other. Here is how to pick the right base for your trip, and when to book before it disappears.
We booked for 7 nights in the van park but left early, we were on site 28. The powered sites are all over the place with not enough water and power for the amount of sites. You need double hose and double power lead to plug in. The sites run parallel to the road. Unless you are on the end sites good luck getting in and out. The amenities we cleaned once in the 6 days we were there. The park is very dated. The pool needs repairs. It has bore water only. We had dark brown water go through our van which needed to be flushed out as they had issues with the water. For $87 a night on Friday and Saturday $70+ Sunday and $60+ through the week it is expensive. For a Big4 park I expected better.
We enjoyed our stay at Big4 Noosa North Shore. The Deluxe Powered Site was very roomy however lacked shade. The park itself has lots of amenities and things to do for the kids and it was a big pro that we could bring our dog. The restaurant/pub was great and the cafe had a great selection of food/drinks. Would recommend.
The standard room for 7 is very very average nothing like the pictures. Reception were amazing but the whole experience so far…….. haven’t even spent one night………. is disappointing. There is no phone service and only access to wifi at the main reception area. We had no gas working and no remote for the tv and for all these issues had to walk to reception to complain. We were offered an upgrade however this was a family trip for our parents 50th Wedding Anniversary so we wanted to stay close to them. Their room on the other hand was lovely so we will be spending most of our time with them. For reference they booked the family cabin!
Spider the dog, free nachos and sangria nights, and a shuttle to the beach twice a day. Flashpackers runs daily social events that actually work, with clean dorms, AC, and free breakfast. The kind of hostel people extend their stay for.
