The deck at Palm Beach Surf Club puts you close enough to the sand that you can hear the break while you eat. It's a surf club bistro doing the reliable things well: burgers, schnitzels, barramundi, cold beers. The views do a lot of the heavy lifting, but regulars keep coming back for the daily specials and the members' discount on meals and drinks. Worth becoming a member if you're on the Gold Coast more than once a year. The salads are generous, the cake cabinet is worth a look after your coffee, and the service is generally quick and friendly. Book ahead on weekdays, the place fills up fast. Parking is tight, which is worth knowing before you arrive with anyone who has mobility concerns.
Excellent atmosphere and great service. The pizzas are a bit overpriced considering the quality but that’s just me being picky. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting lunch or dinner with an excellent view
The location, views, and atmosphere at the surf club are fantastic, and it’s easy to see why it’s such a popular spot. Unfortunately, our visit was let down by how incredibly busy it was. We had booked a table, but when we arrived, we were told the booking couldn’t be honoured because the venue was so crowded. There was a huge queue just to order drinks at the bar, and even once we had food, there were no tables available to sit and eat. It seemed like even the staff were surprised by just how busy it had become. The overcrowding really spoiled what could have been a great evening. While the staff did their best under difficult circumstances, the venue appeared to have accepted more people than it could comfortably accommodate. I’d recommend visiting for the beautiful views, but if you’re planning to book during a busy period, be prepared that your reservation may not guarantee a table.

Palm Beach
Pastries made on site daily at Tallebudgera Creek, with Marvell Street coffee and a Biscoff croissant that reviewers can't stop talking about. The chips are genuinely exceptional, the Portuguese tarts go fast, and the salted caramel milkshake is non-negotiable.

Currumbin
Window seats overlooking Elephant Rock book out fast at this Currumbin Beach institution. The $35 porterhouse and calamari earn their regulars, the views earn everyone else, and the prices keep whole families coming back week after week.

Visited recently for lunch. The views from the terrace are absolutely gorgeous, as it’s right on the beach. The food was alright, I wouldn’t say it particularly blew me away, however I’d have it again if I was in the area. The service and the staff were lovely though.
Look we've been coming to Palm Beach Surf Club regularly for over 10 years or more, and have always loved it, we've brought many family, many friends and many staff here because its always been great, but today it changed. Its a Monday and it wasn't that busy, actually was the quietest I've ever seen it. We ordered 2 x Burgers and a Steak with chips and salad, we waited close to 45 minutes for our meals to come out, which has never happened before, even on their busiest days the food came out alot quicker, but what shocked me the most was my steak was cold, there was not a hint of heat in it at all. I've always loved my steak here and order it everytime with bearnaise sauce, but today wasn't their day, I don't know what happened, the chips were hot, the salad was cold, and so was my poor old steak today, which was so disappointing and after waiting so long and so patiently for our meals to come out and for it to be cold was a really downer this time. The many cocktails we had were great, the view is always amazing, absolute best, and the food we always loved, but just today they were not on point at all. I know Palm Beach Surf Club is great, but today you didn't shine which is not like you, so we are hoping this was just a one off, but guts steak has to be served hot, have some warmth at least, not stone cold
The food was next level!! We ordered the sirloin steak and prawn risotto and both dishes were 10 out of 10! Steak melted in your mouth and risotto cooked to perfection. Beyond our expectations for a surf club where everyone is ordering parmies and burgers! This is our 2nd visit where the first time I had a prawn pasta dish special that was exceptional and the reason why we returned! The chefs are amazing and FYI the chips are the best I’ve ever tasted! 🙌🏻
