A Nerang staple on Hinkler Drive, this McDonald's runs a busy drive-thru that, by several accounts, moves slower than the posted times suggest. The kitchen turns out the expected Big Macs, Quarter Pounders, and nuggets at prices that remain the most honest in the area. Consistency is the variable here: some visits land well, others less so. Staff quality shifts across shifts, though individual crew members draw genuine praise for keeping things moving under pressure. If you're ordering through the app, check the bag before you drive off. The dine-in option gives you a better chance of catching any errors before you're back on the highway. It's fast food doing what fast food does, at a price that makes the occasional miss easier to absorb.
Was in a rush and the order took a while (10 minutes) but Macy at the register was an absolute rockstar. Her patience, understanding and overall attitude despite the busy time was awesome. When I informed her I needed to go asap she was an absolute rockstar and did most of my order in 1 minute. Blew me away honestly, truly prioritising the customer. Big shout out for her 🙌
Unfortunately waited 10mins for lunch today and ordered the family box through the app. First issue was it took 10mins waiting after ordering in the carpark and watched so many cars getting their food through the drive thru, whilst the drinks sat patiently waiting for the food on the front counter, whoever made the Tennessee double burger clearly wasn't too enthralled by having a job, as it looked like a dog's breakfast and sloppy. They forgot the nuggets sauce and the quarter pounders weren't much better. Highly disappointed would be a understatement 😕

Palm Beach
Pastries made on site daily at Tallebudgera Creek, with Marvell Street coffee and a Biscoff croissant that reviewers can't stop talking about. The chips are genuinely exceptional, the Portuguese tarts go fast, and the salted caramel milkshake is non-negotiable.

Miami
Live music, a rotating lineup of global street food vendors, and a Gin Parlour in Miami on the Gold Coast. The paella gets a mention from almost everyone. Prices stay honest, the vibe stays loose, and the early finish is part of the charm.

If i could give this place 0 stars i would this is the worst maccas in qld ive come through the drive thru over 5 times now and without a doubt every single time they have missed items or had to wait over 10 minutes for a order the staff seem to not communicate because every time we give back the order to get the right food no one comes back with our food we have to ask another person giving out other peoples food where it is or have to go inside to get our food and the staff are not apologetic and seem to have no idea about the orders every time last week we were told to wait in the waiting bay for a couple of ice creams we had to wait for 20 minutes before we went inside to ask where they are and had to wait for another 10 to get the ice creams this maccas really needs to step up
Went on a Thursday night where it was moderately busy in drive thru, we ordered and were told to park around the corner because they already had 6 other cars parked waiting for meals. We waited over 10 minutes and watched them park every other car that came through after us except for one that appeared to only get drinks. Several of the people parked after us got meals before us. We only ordered a Big Mac and quarter pounder meals so nothing complex, when we finally got our meal it was just “here’s your meal” from the you guy tha was running meals out, no apology for the wait, no acknowledgement of the fact that their service was extremely poor and as we tried to leave we got stuck whilst 3 more cars from drive thru tried to back into the remaining few car parks left surrounding the drive thru to await their drive thru orders. Clearly fudging their times to look good on paper in drive thru.
These guys were busy but my food was quick and made with care and attention! For a young team I was blown away at how the team were working so well and composed. I’ve owned a restaurant and I’d be happy to employ any of that crew! 🤙🏼
Burleigh Heads
The almond croissant and coffee mont blanc have their own fan base at this Burleigh Heads walk-in bakery. The pastry cabinet alone is worth the detour. Arrive early on weekends, skip the risotto, and let the queue be your quality signal.
