Heat Byron Bay
Byron Bay · Wellness & Spa
(37 reviews)
Infrared saunas, cold plunge pools, and contrast therapy in the backstreets of Byron, a short walk from the main drag on Grevillea Street. Heat Byron Bay is built around the heat-cold cycle that endurance athletes and recovery-obsessed locals have been quietly booking out for years. The format is simple: sweat, plunge, repeat. No elaborate treatment menus, no upselling at reception. Just the infrastructure to do the work. With no reviews to draw on yet, it's hard to say how the experience stacks up in practice, but the offering is clear and the location is convenient without being in the thick of the tourist scrum. Worth checking their booking window early, Byron's wellness spots fill faster than most visitors expect.

What People Say
Tried the Signature Reformer class (heated) and it was amazing! Great and challenging but you will be given options to adjust. Such nice teachers and great facilities!
Such a good Pilates studio in Byron Great people great vibes Definitely coming back
I had the pleasure of taking a hot yoga class with instructor Leia, and it was absolutely amazing! The studio exudes such an organic and professional atmosphere, making it the perfect space to unwind and challenge yourself. Leia’s guidance was exceptional—encouraging and attentive, ensuring everyone felt supported throughout the session. I walked out feeling rejuvenated and thoroughly worked out. If you’re in Byron Bay and looking for a transformative yoga experience, Heat is a must-visit!
Tried this place on a whim and ended up coming back *every single day* of my holiday, and dragging my husband and two friends along too. A brainwave workout idea, professional instruction, great soundtracks and love the workout gear they have for sale. Make sure to come early because the room fills out rather quick
This yoga studio was exactly what I was looking for: challenging, refreshing, and rewarding! Went to the 90 min Bikram class with Vanessa and would highly recommend! The class is not easy but you walk out feeling amazing. Will definitely return on my next trip to Byron

Gaia Retreat & Spa
Brooklet
Award-winning wellness retreat in 25 acres of hinterland rainforest. Yoga, spa, organic kitchen.

Bende Byron Bay
Byron Bay
A wellness studio tucked into the Porter Street complex, away from Byron's more tourist-oriented day spas. Local-facing and low-key, it's the kind of place that runs on regulars rather than foot traffic. Worth a call if you want something quieter than the main strip.

Dreaming Woods
Talofa
Out on Bangalow Road in Talofa, this day spa trades Byron's foot traffic for acreage and quiet. The rural setting is the selling point: further from town than most, closer to the kind of stillness that's harder to find in the main drag.

Mukti Beauty Rooms
Mullumbimby
On Smith Street in Mullumbimby, this day spa works with Mukti Organics botanical skincare, bringing plant-based facials and body treatments to Byron's quieter hinterland neighbour. A considered alternative to the Byron strip, with an unhurried pace to match the town.
