Lawson Street is not where you expect to find a room that takes itself seriously, which is part of what makes Beach work. This is Byron's fine dining end of the dial, a place that earns its price point through considered cooking rather than spectacle. The menu leans into the region's produce, and at this price level you should expect that to show on the plate. The room suits a long dinner, the kind where you order the wine list properly and let the evening go where it goes. No reviews yet to triangulate against, so take the category and price point as your guide. Book ahead, dress with some intention, and come with an appetite rather than a schedule.

What People Say
Had a lovely evening with the extended family here. Absolutely beautiful setting, I can see why some folks have their wedding proposals and receptions here. Service was on point as you would expect for a fine dining restaurant. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Our only feedback would be the portion sizes. Some of the mains were perfect size, but some left our guests underwhelmed. Specifically the Spaghetti & King Prawns (only 2 prawns) and Smoked Pork Hock Ravioli (only 3 squares). My dishes (barbecued octopus and grilled fish) were both excellent however, flavours were great and portions were spot on. If I was to come again I would come during the day or early evening to take in the views for longer, and wouldn’t bring adult teenagers.
Where do I even begin? From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and shown to our table. Our waitress was exceptional -attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely lovely. She took the time to walk us through every dish in detail and made the entire experience feel effortless. The restaurant was incredibly accommodating of my dietary requirements. Our waitress was truly a godsend; she even helped us secure another reservation later in the week, ensuring we’d have a beautiful table closer to the water. The food itself was simply outstanding - without question, some of the best dishes I’ve had in a very long time. My husband and I dine out frequently, so this is high praise. Both dinner visits and our lunch were unforgettable, and we’re already looking forward to returning the next time we’re in Byron. Much love and Happy New Year
It was such a delight to celebrate my birthday here. The location is truly hard to beat – tucked away at the quiet end of beautiful Clarkes Beach, wonderfully removed from the noise of the town. All of the dishes we ordered were delicious, mine was - the yellowfin tuna crudo for entrée, the grilled fish for main, and my favourite- Kensington Pride mango dessert with lemon, macadamia and smoked honeycomb – it was so good I was tempted to order a second one! The staff were all very professional, warm and friendly. Overall, it was a memorable birthday evening with amazing food and gorgeous scenery. I’m already looking forward to coming back.
My family stopped in at Beach while we were traveling through Byron Bay and were welcomed without a reservation. Everything that happened after that was a comedy of errors, but I can say with earnest that this restaurant was a highlight of our trip. Sa was our waitress and was incredibly kind to seat us and allow us to wait with some cocktails for an hour until the kitchen reopened after a private event. While we were there, we had a glitch with our night’s accommodations, and since we were traveling from abroad, we asked to use the restaurant’s phone, and when that had issues, Alan very generously let us use his personal mobile to call our villa. Most importantly, the food was delicious. We had the yellowfin tuna starter and can understand why it is a signature dish. The sirloin was perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the asparagus was also perfect - well cooked and still had the perfect snap to it. Last, the roast potatoes were perfectly crispy on the outside and still moist inside. Finally, we had an issue with the payment system which resulted in us paying another table’s bill, but Alan flagged us down in the parking lot so we could get it straightened out. Through all of this, Sa was incredibly kind, warm, and assuring, apologizing profusely for our misfortune. We left wishing we were staying longer so we could try the rest of the menu. If we make it back to Byron Bay, Beach will absolutely be at the top of our list. Cannot recommend stopping here enough for a quality meal and warm environment.
Been to the Beach restaurant for dinner and to the Kiosk for the breakfast bite. Both times had lovely time food and service-wise. The service was attentive and friendly. The food was one of the best in Byron, which is also reflected in the price positioning. However, I thought it was worth splurging given amazing sunset over the beach light, delicious and well thought-out menu that changes seasonally, complimented by impeccable service.
