The Fletcher Street location of one of Byron's better-known all-day venues, Combi runs a menu built around honest cafe food done with some care. Think açaí bowls, solid egg dishes, and coffee that holds up. The fit-out leans into the relaxed coastal aesthetic that Fletcher St does well, without overdoing it. Pricing sits in the mid-range for Byron, which is to say: fair for what it is. The crowd skews young and visitor-heavy, but locals use it too, particularly for breakfast before the day gets away from them. No reviews to draw on here, so go in with open eyes. The Combi name has goodwill behind it in this town, and the Fletcher St spot benefits from that. Worth a stop if you're already in the neighbourhood.
We’ve just spent a week in Byron Bay and walked past Combi every single day, it was always so busy, we knew we had to try it for ourselves! The staff were really friendly, and the service was impressively quick considering how busy it was. We ordered the avocado on toast with vegan feta , which was absolutely delicious. My husband had the cocoa banana with a coffee shot, and I had a lovely chai latte with oat milk, everything was fresh and spot on! Great vibes, great food, and a really lovely lunch overall. Was worth the visit!
Great Food, Questionable Vibes: I visited Combi recently to see if it lived up to the social media buzz. Here is the breakdown: The coffee was genuinely excellent—perfectly roasted and prepared. I ordered the scrambled eggs on toast, which was delicious, fresh, and seasoned well. The Service: I was pleasantly surprised by the staff. Despite being busy, the service was very friendly and welcoming. The Cost: Be prepared for Byron prices. I paid $28 for a coffee and my toast, which is definitely on the steeper side for a casual breakfast. The "Influencer" Factor: This place is heavily hyped on social media, which unfortunately draws a bit of a "strange crowd." To give you an idea of the vibe: a woman sitting right next to me told the staff she shouldn't have to pay for her meal because she was going to post a story about it. It makes the atmosphere feel a bit superficial and "sceney." Bottom Line: Go for the high-quality food and the lovely staff, but be prepared to dodge a few ring lights and influencers while you eat.

Byron Bay
Corner of Jonson Street, Folk is the kind of all-day café that earns its place through good bones rather than spectacle. Warm timbers, honest café fare, mid-range pricing, and a front-row seat to Byron's main strip.

Byron Bay
Tucked into Jonson Lane, away from the main-street circus, Bang Bang keeps things casual and affordable. The kind of spot that rewards locals who know their way around the back streets of Byron.

Wategos Beach
Directly above the sand at Wategos Beach, Raes Dining Room is Byron's most location-loaded fine dining address. Mediterranean-leaning seafood, full-occasion pricing, and a room that makes the most of one of the coast's prettiest coves. Book the terrace.
Byron Bay's plant-based food scene runs deeper than smoothie bowls and good intentions. From the açaí-forward breakfast crowd at Combi on Fletcher Street to the organic kitchen at Gaia Retreat in the hinterland, this guide cuts through the noise and tells you exactly where to eat, what to order, and which spots are worth the drive.
Autumn is the right season for a Byron girls' trip, and the itinerary is simpler than the group chat suggests. Book the Wategos dinner table first, sort the villa second, and let the rest follow. Here is the weekend, planned properly.
Byron Bay is a better place with a dog in tow. Belongil Beach for off-leash mornings, the Cape Byron headland track on a lead, and a string of outdoor cafes that will not flinch at a dog under the table. Here is the practical guide to doing it properly, from where to stay to which beaches actually let you off the lead.
Byron Bay in autumn is the right time for a genuine wellness week: fewer crowds, better light, and a hinterland cool enough to make morning yoga worth getting up for. This seven-day itinerary structures the week around how the body actually resets, from ocean kayaking and hinterland spa days to a dawn balloon flight over the Tweed Valley. Real days, real recommendations, real order.
We really love the menu here and we think that the staff are terrific we really appreciate the effort they put into their food it looks great and it tastes delicious and we're all very happy to return
Place a have a great vibe for sure! Great & fast service Coffee tasty and quick which usually not coming together My choice of food was questionable first place - barley pancakes but I was keen to try.
I'll give a review when its required, and this is required, I had the best smoothie of my life here, the staff are so lovely, the food is great. You have to be a bit of a hawk to grab a table when its busy as theres no waiting list, but its worth it. My new fave cafe in Byron!
Byron will eat your budget alive if you let it. But the bones of a genuinely cheap trip are still here. The lighthouse walk is free and worth waking up for. The tacos on Byron Street are the most honest meal in town. Here is what to do, where to eat, and what to skip entirely.
