One of the cheaper nights out on Jonson Street, which in Byron Bay is worth knowing about. Loft sits above the main strip, giving it a remove from the footpath crowds without losing the central location. As a bar, it pitches itself at the younger end of the Byron nightlife spectrum, the kind of place that fills up late and stays loud. The price point is low by local standards, which keeps the energy less curated and more unpretentious than some of the cocktail bars nearby. With no reviews to draw on, it's hard to call specifics, but the combination of affordable drinks, a Jonson Street address, and a bar format suggests a straightforward night out rather than a destination experience. Worth knowing as an option when the town gets busy and you'd rather not pay premium prices for a rum and Coke.
Absolutely beautiful setting in the heart of Byron Bay. We had the $99 bottomless lunch menu. Everything was superb. The lobster spaghetti was excellent, probably just a tad too salty for our liking but still delicious. Service was attentive, waitstaff kept checking to see if we wanted more drinks. The venue is beautiful and you get the nice ocean breeze too. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch today. Highly recommended.
We went to Loft three times during our stay in Byron Bay. Great Restaurant, lovely view & the food was so good! I‘m coeliac & the staff is very knowledgeable! Special shoutout to Emy, she was there every time we went, always happy & helpful. Hospitality really needs people like her. Thank you!
Lovely lunch at the Loft almost all the dishes were delicious. The Lobster Spaghetti was exquisite and the Crispy Twice Cooked Pork Ribs fabulous. All the sides were lovely and paired well with the mains. The only dish that dissapointed was the Spinach & Nettle Pasta subtle flavours- under seasoned and couldn't taste the crunchy chilli flakes. Staff were friendly but keen to drop and go and not ensure anything else was needed - drinks .

Byron Bay
A Jonson Street pub that's been holding its ground while Byron reinvented itself around it. Cold beers, mixed crowd, no attitude. The kind of place where locals and visitors end up at the same bar stool without anyone making it weird.

Brunswick Heads
The pub Brunswick Heads actually drinks at. Cold beer, no-fuss food, and a front bar that hasn't tried to become something else. In a town that's resisted the Byron creep, the Brunswick Hotel is a big part of why.

Shir was a wonderful server! Attentive and always making sure we were looked after. The food was wonderful, except we found the chocolate tart just a little dry - still yummy tho!
Tried the new bar menu. Delicious. The waitress was absolutely lovely, checked how everything was and explained that the menu is new and knew exactly what everything was, down to the new bread the house smoked trout was on. Great for a quick bite without having a whole meal (even though the portions aren’t small).
Byron Bay
Mezcal cocktails and mezze plates on Jonson Street, priced for a proper night rather than a casual one. The concept sits somewhere between cocktail bar and Middle Eastern restaurant. Worth a visit when you want somewhere with a bit more intent than the average Byron strip.
