The kingfish ceviche and tuna tartare alone justify the booking, and you will need a booking. Light Years brings a pan-Asian shared plates menu to Sunshine Beach Road that punches well above its price point. The chef selection banquet at $69 per head is the move for groups, working through honey ribs, firecracker chicken, and miso corn in an order that actually makes sense. The outdoor seating with heaters runs year-round, the beer is cold, and the staff have a reputation for remembering faces across multiple visits. Dogs are welcome. Service is quick without feeling rushed. For the price, it's hard to find fault. Go hungry, order the waiter's choice, and let them fill the table.
This restaurant features a pan Asian menu that is fresh and nuanced in flavours. We dined as a large group and tried the Primo Selection banquet. The salmon sashimi was incredible. Special mention also for the honey ribs and firecracker chicken.
Why We Keep Coming Back! Consistently Outstanding, Every Visit: We’re regulars at Light Years Burleigh, so when we were on the Sunshine Coast and catching up with friends, it was an easy choice to visit the local Light Years there. From the moment we arrived, the staff remembered us from Burleigh, which honestly made our day and says so much about the culture and care across the venues. We had our furbaby with us and he was made to feel so welcome, which we absolutely loved. The experience was so good that we ended up going back the very next day for lunch with my family. As always, the food was sensational, the beer was cold, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and on to it. Consistently great hospitality every time. What more could you ask for? Highly recommend. 🌟

Noosa Heads QLD
A resort dining room with a loyal local following, sitting between Noosa National Park and Lake Weyba. Staff like Damian and Carla at breakfast keep regulars returning year after year. Worth the three-kilometre detour from Hastings Street, especially if you're pairing lunch with a round of golf.

Noosaville QLD
The chilli crab scrambled eggs, loaded with fresh crab, coriander, and mint, are the standout at this busy Noosaville cafe with river views. Solid across breakfast and lunch, genuinely warm service, and QR ordering that actually speeds things up rather than frustrating you.

I wrote a gleaming five star rating three years ago and had to revisit after a visit this past week. Sad to say but we've been coming here multiple times every year and this was the worst visit yet. Service is terrible and we were just charged a "weekend surcharge" but it wasn't listed anywhere so quite a surprise for crappy service! 10% for lack of attentiveness -- and apparently you're supposed to make sure this is known but it just popped up on our bill. The food has shrunk with smaller portion sizes over the years...three very small siu mai dumplings for $20!?!?...the fish was about half size of previous visits and had so much green dill or herbs surrounding it instead. Also $5 per person for water???? Come on! Even for my kids? It's not like this is a super fine dining experience to charge that...Just generally underwhelming after so many years of being such a highlight....so sad for a place that was once a huge favourite. Disappointed.
Book ahead because this place is busy! Shared plates. Deliciousness. Highly recommend Kingfish ceviche, Tuna tartare, Fire Cracker Chicken and the waiters choice - Miso corn. Great service. Quick meals. Second time dining in and it won’t be our last.
Amazing food, everytime! Super cute venue with excellent options for drinks and food, a brilliant Asian fusion restaurant! Stand outs for me are always the bao buns and we always get the miso corn!
Coolum Beach
Franco's hospitality and a seafood tower worth ordering define this community pub just back from Coolum Beach. Fast kitchen, fair prices, and a vibe that works for families, seniors, and Friday-night regulars alike.
