Margo once called a fully booked K'gari tour operator back multiple times, then tracked down a visitor after they'd already left the centre to tell them a spot had opened up. That's the standard here. The Noosa Visitor Information Centre on Hastings Street runs on volunteer energy and local knowledge, and both are in generous supply. The beach wheelchair loan programme is the detail worth knowing: a wide-wheeled chair that rolls across sand and into the water, available to borrow for visitors with mobility challenges. Staff will store your regular wheelchair while you're out. Beyond that, this is a genuinely useful first stop for planning your stay, whether you need tour bookings, luggage storage before a flight, or someone who actually knows which operators are worth your time. Start here on day one.

What People Say
We hired a beach wheelchair from the visitor information center for 4 days over Christmas and it was just marvelous! The staff were so helpful getting me setup and storing the “land” wheelchair for us! This chair is just so liberating for someone struggling to walk- I was rolled across the beach and right into the water from where I was free to float around while the chair sat on the beach. It was quite easy to get back into the chair in the water and then refreshing to get out and to sit in the chair and relax on the beach . Overall the chair it simply excellent and the service and assistance from the Visitor Centre was remarkable
We had the pleasure of meeting Margo at the information center, and we can't thank her enough for her incredible effort and kindness. She went above and beyond to help us find a spot on a guided tour to K'gari, even when it seemed fully booked. Margo didn’t give up — she made calls, insisted on checking again, and even reached out to us after we had already left to let us know a spot had opened up. Thanks to her, we not only had a fantastic day on K'gari but also met a wonderful person. Thank you, Margo!
The volunteers at the visitor centre were the most helpful I’ve met during my trip around Australia. I would love to stay here for a few more days to explore the surrounding areas. Noosa is truly a beautiful and wonderful place.
Megan and the team helped myself and my partner quickly hold our suitcases while we went for a final swim before catching our flight back home, wonderful people, helpful, friendly and extremely inviting.
Great and helps. Margot guided us through the whole noosa scene. Highly recommend to start your day 1 here and just plan on pending on the length of your stay.

Fairy Pools
Noo Heads QLD
A free natural rock pool on the Noosa headland, reached by an hour's coastal walk and a sketchy scramble off the main path. Clear water, baby fish, ocean views. Go at sunrise before the crowds arrive and the magic evaporates.

Noosa National Park
Noo Heads QLD
The coastal track from Noosa Heads to Boiling Pot Lookout is one of Queensland's best half-day walks, full stop. Turquoise coves, rugged cliffs, wallabies on the path. Arrive early or take the bus from Noosa Junction — parking is the only thing that'll test you.

Paradise Caves
Noo Heads QLD
A sea cave formation in Noosa National Park that earns its views. The descent is steep, spray-soaked, and genuinely challenging at high tide. Limestone pools, dramatic cliff faces, and zero crowds if you time it right. Proper footwear is non-negotiable.

Aqua Park Coolum
Coolum Beach
A floating inflatable obstacle course on the Sunshine Coast that's harder than it looks and cheaper than you'd expect. Timed sessions at $30 per person, deep water, plenty of life guards, and shaded BBQ spots for whoever's watching from shore.
