The pool is the social hub here, and on a warm Noosa afternoon it earns its reputation. Nomads Noosa sits close to the Greyhound stop, walking distance from the beach and Hastings Street, which makes it a logical base for backpackers booking Fraser Island 4WD trips through the front desk. The vibe skews young and sociable, with a bar, beach volleyball court, and tropical gardens doing most of the heavy lifting. Dorms vary significantly in size, so a 6-bed room is a different proposition to a 16-bed one. Reviews on the larger dorms flag noise and heat as genuine considerations. Staff are consistently praised for friendliness and local knowledge. For the price point and location, it delivers what a busy hostel promises, but go in with clear expectations about the room you're booking.
I paid $220 for two nights. This was the worst experience I’ve had. If you are reading this review, please stop and reconsider your decision right now. The air conditioner barely works. The room was extremely hot. This is absolutely not a $100-per-night hostel standard. The hostel was very noisy inside the room until midnight, with no consideration for other guests. It was my mistake to pay $100 per night for a 16-bed dorm. Honestly, this place is worth around $30 for a 16-person hostel room — no more. I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but this was truly a terrible experience.
Kaisha at Nomads Noosa is basically sunshine in human form. Those deep brown eyes could calm a storm, and that smile? It could sail a thousand ships, guide lost backpackers home, and probably solve world peace before checkout time. Equal parts hilarious, kind, and effortlessly welcoming — if good vibes had a face, it’d be Kaisha’s. What a beautiful human! 😍

We had an amazing stay at Nomads Noosa! From the moment we arrived, we loved the relaxed and welcoming vibe of the hostel. The pool area is definitely the highlight, spacious, lively, and with a volleyball court right next to it. There are plenty of areas to chill, socialize, or just relax, both inside and outside. The dorms were very well designed. Having the toilet separate from the shower made a big difference when sharing. The bed was extremely comfortable, with a quality mattress and a thick, cozy blanket that smelled fresh and clean. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better. The hostel is close to the Greyhound bus stop, supermarkets, the beach, and loads of great restaurants and bars. On top of all that, the staff were fantastic, friendly, positive, and always happy to help with recommendations and tips around Noosa. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting.
The service wasn’t good. My friend and I booked that hostel to do Fraser Island and the people working there were really not organised. The check in was very slow. Told us last minute (8pm) about the 20$ deposit only cash for the sleeping bags (had a 7$ extra because I’m from Europe). The morning of departure, 6:30am, didn’t tell us where to find the sleeping bags and what car to jump in so we got into the wrong car until we realised our selves we were in the wrong car. The tour itself was great, our tour guide was fantastic. Shout out to Hayden! But this hostel was shit. Kitchen was disgusting, bugs everywhere and people don’t clean behind them. The rooms were okay but not the best. The only good thing was the washing machine already cale with the cleaning product.
The Hostel‘s location is very central to town and only a short walk from the beach and the bus stop. It‘s really social if you are travelling alone. However, the rooms as well as the common areas are always very dirty. The kitchen is way too small and does not contain enough cutlery etc. The rooms only have a small window and the AC does not work properly, so it‘s always humid as well. Every night we had roommates who went on the Fraser Island tour so expect to wake up at 5 am every morning if you stay here. This all wouldn‘t be as bad if the hostel wasn‘t so expensive as well.

Above Hastings Street with bush views and a buggy to the strip, Peppers Noosa earns its keep through spacious multi-level villas and a restaurant team that remembers your name and your dietary requirements. The pool is quiet. The spa is worth it.
