At Move Headquarters in Currumbin, parents, particularly mothers with young kids, train, recover, and actually breathe for an hour while qualified volunteers look after the little ones. That alone sets it apart from every other gym on the Gold Coast. But the facility itself earns its reputation independently: ice baths, saunas, compression sessions, free weights, and a program built around functional movement. Reviewers who've trained at dozens of gyms over two decades call it the best they've found. Staff greet members by name. The community events, dress-up workout sessions, and group classes build something that reads less like a gym membership and more like a local. The recovery zone is the real drawcard for wellness seekers. Book a sauna and ice bath session even if a full membership isn't on the cards.

Move’s volunteers have all the necessary working with children qualifications and have been screened more rigorously than most babysitters and nanny’s out there. Trust me I know because I asked all the questions I needed to feel safe and know my little ones were safe. All the volunteers have been so so amazing. It’s an optional service. If you don’t feel comfortable leaving your child you don’t have to - you do what feels right for you. As a mum of 3, having the option of exercising and mentally recharging for an hour whilst I know my kids are being well looked after, has been an absolute GOD SENT. Thank you Move.

I’ve been part of the Move HQ family since the very beginning. After training at more gyms than I can count over the past 20+ years, I can confidently say this has been the best by far. It’s not just the trendy cement walls or the endless free weights that keep me coming back — it’s being greeted by name every time I walk through the door, the well-planned and highly functional programs, and the recovery zones featuring ice baths, saunas, and compression sessions. The overall vibe sets it apart, with team events and fun dress-up workout sessions that build a real sense of community. Even with a busy shift-work schedule, I can still train here because I’m able to bring my kids, knowing they’re safely looked after in the complimentary crèche while I fit in a workout, a recovery session, or both
