Childe Street sits just far enough from the main drag that the people here actually want to be here. Treehouse Byron Bay pitches itself at the casual end of the dining spectrum — relaxed, approachable, mid-range pricing that won't require a second thought. Expect the kind of place that suits a long lunch as comfortably as a quick dinner, with a vibe that leans into Byron's easy indoor-outdoor rhythm. At this price point, it's accessible without feeling like a compromise. Without a deep review base to draw from, it's hard to call a signature dish or a standout moment — but the location and positioning suggest a neighbourhood spot worth knowing about. Worth a visit if you're already on that end of town.

What People Say
Finding a place that has great music, excellent drinks, and actually caters to kids is a win. The Tree House nailed it! We loved the pizza and fish tacos, and the drink list has something for everyone. The atmosphere is incredible - very "Byron" with a soulful, beachside feel. Bunch of thanks for the coloring kits for the kids; it made the meal so much easier. We’ll be coming back for the tunes and the tacos for sure!
Just finished another delightful lunch at Treehouse Byron Bay on Belongil Beach. Easily the best dining and best value award goes to this place hands down. I swear they have the best Chicken Wings in Australia. These with a serve of the Market Fish Crudo are a staple for me. Throw in a Rocket and Parmesan Salad and I’m done. Also worth a mention are the delicious Fish Tacos, Grass Fed Beef Burgers, Byron Bay Stracciatella and delicious Woodfired Pizzas. If you go for dinner make sure you order the mind blowing Steak Frites. OMG! it was so tender I could slice the meat with my fork. We all agreed that this was easily the best version of this dish that any of us had ever had. So if you are feeling hungry and want to experience exceptional food at a reasonable price in a very casual beachy setting, then get on down to Treehouse. You definitely won’t be sorry.
Treehouse: Breakfast Bliss, Dinner Vibes Our two visits felt like two different chapters — both enjoyable in their own ways. Dinner with a Crowd We were a group of 13, soaking up the lounge beats. Luckily our seats were behind the speakers, so we could actually hear one another and enjoy the atmosphere. Most dishes went down well; the pizzas looked lovely (my husband loved his) and there were a handful of tasty pastas and chicken salads. My grass-fed burger was underwhelming — a simple bun, patty, cheese, gherkin and a lonely lettuce leaf — and the fries arrived a little scattered and less crisp than I’d hoped. Cocktails and mocktails were a real highlight, bright and well balanced. One odd service quirk: drinks could be ordered via QR code, but food had to be ordered with a waiter. Breakfast for Two Breakfast was the star. We arrived early (8:30am) to a calm room with 80s pop in the air — exactly our vibe. The chia bowl and granola bowl were fresh and delicious, a perfect start to the day. Ordering beverages and breakfast via QR code was seamless, the coffee was delightful, and by 9:30 the place had gently come to life with other guests settling into the Treehouse mood. We left feeling relaxed and very happy. Too chatty to take dinner photos, but plenty of good memories. From two happy Sicilians. 🇮🇹👬🏽🏳️🌈
What a great place with some serious holiday vibes. We had pizza and fish and were lucky to sit close to Robbo who we can clearly see loves the craft of making pizza. If other reviews are not proof enough, he made a special bunny one for our son (look at the pic!) Thanks for the amazing conversations and for making us feel at home Robbo!
Every time my friends and I think about pizza in Byron, we all say the same thing we’ve gotta come here. And honestly, that’s because of Robbo. He’s always crazy busy, but somehow the quality of his pizzas never drops. The dough and toppings are just so good. We ordered the Portobello Road and the Wagyu Bresaola both were insanely delicious. They smell amazing, the dough is soft and chewy in the best way, and the toppings are perfect without getting soggy, even if you let it sit for a bit. Super impressive❤️ The other food and drinks were great too, and the staff looked after us the whole time really good service.👍

Corner of Jonson Street, Folk is the kind of all-day café that earns its place through good bones rather than spectacle. Warm timbers, honest café fare, mid-range pricing, and a front-row seat to Byron's main strip.

Raes Dining Room
Wategos Beach
Directly above the sand at Wategos Beach, Raes Dining Room is Byron's most location-loaded fine dining address. Mediterranean-leaning seafood, full-occasion pricing, and a room that makes the most of one of the coast's prettiest coves. Book the terrace.

Bang Bang Byron Bay
Byron Bay
Tucked into Jonson Lane, away from the main-street circus, Bang Bang keeps things casual and affordable. The kind of spot that rewards locals who know their way around the back streets of Byron.

Wide Open Road Cafe
Byron Bay
The Melbourne original's Byron Bay sibling, sitting on busy Lawson Street with the kind of stripped-back, coffee-forward confidence the town doesn't always offer. Close to the beach, squarely in the foot traffic, and pitched at the crowd that knows the difference.
