Old Quarter coffee, roasted down the road in Ballina, poured from a hole-in-the-wall that's been part of Byron's morning routine since the original Byronian opened in 1978. The latest incarnation sits outside Woolies on Jonson Street, serving Middle Eastern street food alongside the espresso. Pita pockets, falafel, freshly squeezed juices. It opens at 6am on weekdays, which makes it one of the few options for early risers who need something more than a servo coffee. The menu is tight, the portions are honest, and the organic, fair-trade sourcing runs through everything. Not trying to be a destination brunch spot. Just a good local cafe doing the basics well, every morning, rain or shine.

What People Say
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I stopped by Little Byronian for a quick lunch and absolutely loved it! I had the chicken schnitzel pita with a touch of hummus. So fresh, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavour. The textures were spot on crispy, tender, and creamy in all the right ways. Obviously ☺️Paired it with San Pellegrino water for the perfect mid-eastern inspired meal by the coast. Such a relaxed vibe and friendly service. I’ll definitely be back!
Had a coffee. Location blew, it was outside busy shopping central. Their cafe is cute but expensive and the staff were dismissive rather than friendly. I love to chat and talk about their coffee or the local community. Could barely attain eye contact. Oh well. Coffee was okay. Not worth what they charged. Especially sitting roadside. Do better please, we work hard for our money.
Visiting from Sydney, early morning breakfast on the run and definitely grateful of the recommendation from the young lady behind the counter on my breakfast. It was a flavoursome Olive and Cheese pastry that had added tahini and jalepenos and the coffee was a smooth brew.
Visiting from Scotland and if I could give this cracker of a find 10 stars 🌟 I would. Food and service exceptional. Honestly can't recommend enough. Staff obviously love their jobs and food. Outstanding. Thank you for an experience we will never forget. 🙏🏻❤️
No matter if we’re staying in town or just passing by - We always stop here for food. Everything is so nourishing and delicious, but for me the Sabih is the standout. And on top of the wonderful food, the coffee is always perfect! Thank you to everyone at Little Byronian for making everyone’s day better with wonderful food and friendly smiles.
