The beer garden at the Beach Hotel is one of Byron's most reliable sunset spots, with uninterrupted views across Main Beach that have been drawing locals and travellers alike for decades. It's a big pub in the best sense: cold beers on tap, a broad food menu, and enough space that you're not fighting for a table on a Tuesday. The crowd skews mixed, from families wrapping up a beach day to groups settling in for a long Friday session. Prices sit at mid-range for Byron, which is to say reasonable by local standards. The bistro covers the basics competently. Come for the view and the atmosphere rather than a standout meal, and you'll leave satisfied.
Went for dinner on a really busy Saturday night. Walked in and this place is big. Found a table on the beach side of the venue and had a drink, ordered the steak. Soaked up some sea breeze and really enjoyed the venue. Staff were great, food was perfect, atmosphere really good. Will go back next time we are in Byron. Well done. 10/10
The location by the beach was beautiful. The staff are absolutely amazing. The place was quite busy but there was still no wait for my dinner. The miso barramundi was delicious by the way. There was live music playing when I arrived, which made the evening a great way to unwind. I thought the mirror ball shark was fantastic.
Love this hotel right near the beach. Menu is great pienty to choose from and happy hour weekdays You might be lucky to see a Kookaburra on top of the inflatable Shark which we did in May. November we saw The ABBA band loved it and guess what it’s free. So many positive things about this place

Byron Bay
The birthplace of Pacific Ale, Stone & Wood's Byron taproom pours fresh from the tank inside the working brewery. Industrial setting, cold beer done right, and a crowd that spans Friday knock-offs to curious out-of-towners tracing the source of their favourite can.

Byron Bay
A Jonson Street pub that's been holding its ground while Byron reinvented itself around it. Cold beers, mixed crowd, no attitude. The kind of place where locals and visitors end up at the same bar stool without anyone making it weird.

The icon Beach Hotel is a must visit in Byron Bay. Relax with a cold beverage and good meal while soaking up the friendly atmosphere and ocean views. Casual and family friendly. Live music to complement not drown conversation. Fast friendly service.
Great location and venue and they seem to always have a band on or setting up. The staff are super friendly, including the security. They don't take bookings, walk ins only. Food.... We ordered entres and mains, the entres came out after the main meals so it seemed like a waste of money. The flat bread entre was ok, I feel like it could be plated better to avoid soggy bread and may look more appealing. They have a yum gluten free pizza base option and they can cook a steak well. The burger was good, chips were super salty but I hid that with dipping into the yummy mushroom sauce. I guess, if I was to go back again, I would order the entres and do a separate order for mains. We paid $170 for 4 mains and 2 entres.
Brunswick Heads
The pub Brunswick Heads actually drinks at. Cold beer, no-fuss food, and a front bar that hasn't tried to become something else. In a town that's resisted the Byron creep, the Brunswick Hotel is a big part of why.
