The Farm Byron Bay
Ewingsdale · Activities & Tours
(5,243 reviews)
Three hundred acres of working farmland ten minutes from the Byron town centre, where the paddock-to-plate idea is taken literally. The Farm runs beef cattle, pigs, and market gardens that supply its on-site restaurant, Three Blue Ducks, as well as a farm store stocked with produce, preserves, and local goods. The land itself is the draw: flat, open, and genuinely agricultural, with chickens underfoot and seasonal crops in rotation. Kids tend to find it immediately compelling. Adults come for the Ducks and stay longer than planned. The farm store is worth a browse even if you're not eating. No reviews to draw on here, so take the experience on its own terms: a working property that earns its keep, not a theme park version of one.

What People Say
A really lovely spot with a great atmosphere. I’ll definitely be heading back when the weather starts to cool down. Visiting in the middle of the day during summer wasn’t ideal, the animals were mostly hiding out in the shade (which is completely understandable!). Still enjoyed wandering around, and I grabbed a sausage roll from the bakery which was pretty decent too. Looking forward to coming back and experiencing it properly in cooler weather.
The Farm is a nice, relaxed spot in Byron. There’s a great florist and restaurant, and you can wander through the macadamia trees, see the banana plants, and maybe pet the goats if they feel like coming over. We went mainly for a picnic and enjoyed it, but there isn’t a huge amount to do. It’s more about the atmosphere than entertainment. Overall, a good experience if you’re after something low key.
Hmg! I love the place I wish I have more time to go there for breakfast lunch amd dinner and there happy hour, there sunday roast special. Good for family with kid, lot od space for them to run around. You can even bringbyour own picnic mat and spend a good time there. There plate are massive. The staff are super!
We visited over the weekend and arrived around 7:30am—already about 70% of the car park was full, so it's clearly a popular spot. We didn’t join a tour and instead wandered around the farm with our dog on-leash. The farm is well signed, making it easy to navigate on your own. There’s a great variety of farm animals, a lovely macadamia orchard, and other produce to explore. We grabbed a coffee, lemon meringue tart, Portuguese tart, ham and cheese croissant, and a jar of mixed nuts along with fresh eggs. The food was great—though prices are on the higher side, which is expected for a tourist-oriented location. The older lady at the cashier was polite and courteous. However, the younger staff around the coffee area were less helpful. I felt I was treated differently, being asked to wait outside for my order while others were clearly allowed to wait inside. It was disappointing and felt discriminatory. The service here could definitely be improved.
A gorgeous working farm with so much to offer. Lots of local produce, fresh cut flowers, plants, a cafe, ice creamery and restaurant on site. We visited as a couple, but so much to see for kids and families too. Lots of open green spaces, the opportunity to sign up for hands-on, educational sessions or just wander around taking it all in with a coffee. We took home a ready made meal, cheese, wine and small goods for a platter. Don't miss this, a must do in Byron.
