On a clear day, you can track the coastline all the way from Noosa Heads across Lake Cooroibah to the hinterland ranges behind Cooroy. This circular viewing platform at the top of Viewland Drive is the kind of place locals bring visitors when they want to show off the region without walking far. The 1.3km trail up from Hastings Street is worth knowing about, but most people drive. Parking is tight and capped at two hours, so arriving early matters, especially at sunset when the crowd thickens and people drag chairs onto the slope. Wheelchair accessible. No facilities, no entry fee. The trees surrounding the platform are old and substantial, which makes the clearing feel earned.
Good little lookout over Noosa. Either a 1.3km walk up from Hastings Street (main street of Noosa) or drive up and park right next to lookout. Not a big carpark, which has a 2hr parking limit. Nice view even on a cloudy day. Best experienced at sunrise or sunset.
Stopped by Laguna Lookout while we were in Noosa and it was definitely worth the short drive up. The view is amazing and gives you a great look over Noosa, the river, the coastline and out towards the ocean. It's the kind of place where you can take your time, enjoy the scenery and get some great photos. There are a few viewing areas and it's easy to access. We went during the day and the views were clear, but I can imagine it would be just as nice around sunrise or sunset. It's a great spot if you're visiting Noosa and want to see the area from a different perspective
It was an easily reach place to enjoy the sunset view. For drivers, there was limited supply of parking lots, so it was recommended to arrive earlier. The lookout was just a short distance from the parking area. Some people brought their own chairs but others just stood along the fence or sat on the slope. The view was excellent.

Tinbeerwah QLD
Fifteen minutes of walking earns you a full sweep from the Glass House Mountains to the coast. The track is mostly paved, the views hold even on overcast days, and the flowering bushes smell like warm honey on the way up. Go at sunset.

Noosa Heads QLD
A free natural rock pool on the Noosa headland, reached by an hour's coastal walk and a sketchy scramble off the main path. Clear water, baby fish, ocean views. Go at sunrise before the crowds arrive and the magic evaporates.

Tewantin QLD
Amazing place for a sunset view!! The sunset goes down just behind the mountains in the far and reflects nicely in the outgoing river.
Stunning lookout with views across Noosa Heads, Tewantin and the mountains back as far as Cooroy. Easy car park access and short walk to viewing platform with wheelchair access.
A solid MTB network out in Tentin with trails for all levels and terrain that holds up in most conditions. Weekdays are reliably quiet. The signage is patchy, so download a trail map before you go. No bins, no toilets — pack everything in, pack everything out.
