Humpback whales breaching off the headland. Dolphins threading through the break below. Turtles, if the timing's right. Hell's Gates is the clifftop payoff at the far end of Noosa National Park's coastal trail, and the wildlife sightings here are less a bonus than a reasonable expectation. The walk out along the coast takes you past Little Cove and Main Beach, exposed to the breeze with ocean views most of the way. The return leg through the Tanglewood is shaded and quieter, with a decent chance of spotting woodland birds. The full loop from the main day-use car park runs about 8km. The catch: that car park fills before 8am on weekends. Park on Hastings Street instead and walk the boardwalk in. You'll add distance, but it's worth it.
This is a fair walk and you don't know what you're going to get at the end of it. About a km from the end it splits, creating a loop. I took the high road and found you get a view of the other side of the peninsula. The end was dramatic, but I felt like I couldn't get a good enough look without risking my life. I'd like to see it from a boat.
After the Fairy Pools take a short walk up the path to see Hell’s Gates and take in the view. There is a fairy pool here but it is not easily accessible (jagged cliff scaling which could be very dangerous, especially if wet) so I can see why it’s not encouraged. Walk back to the town either through the forest or the coastal trail.
Went for my usual 7am morning walk on the 6th of June, and as I was walking down the hill, my shoe got caught on a piece of driftwood. As I tumbled down, I saw for a split second a glimpse of the emerald green/celestial blue, firey underworld, just like in the Disney movie Hercules! Totally would recommend this hidden gem of a spot to anyone I come across!

Tewantin QLD
A solid MTB network out in Tentin with trails for all levels and terrain that holds up in most conditions. Weekdays are reliably quiet. The signage is patchy, so download a trail map before you go. No bins, no toilets — pack everything in, pack everything out.

Sunshine Beach
Steep timber steps cut through coastal rainforest to a quieter stretch of Sunshine Beach. The access rewards the effort with noticeably fewer people at the bottom. Go light on gear and earlier than you think you need to.

Worth the walk. Nice views. We parked near Alexandria bay (see google maps photo), so it wasnt too far a walk. You can go via the beach or inland.
One of the best place near Brisbane. Its an easy hike and the beaches are great. Feels like you are in your own private beach.. must visit
Fifteen minutes along the Noosa boardwalk from Main Beach, Little Cove rewards the walk with calm, clear water and softer sand than Tea Tree Beach. Small, occasionally windy, and unpatrolled. The trade-off for skipping the crowds is a bit of legwork.
