The carrot cake is enormous. Multiple reviewers flag it unprompted, and one reckons a single slice feeds four. That kind of generosity sets the tone at this Currumbin Valley spot, where the portions are large, the pricing is reasonable, and the setting leans hard into its rural surroundings. The steak sandwich on sourdough draws serious praise, the Beef Benny has its loyalists, and the pistachio latte is worth ordering on its own merits. The dessert counter is the kind you stand in front of too long. Weekends get busy and the kitchen can fall behind, so arrive early or bring patience. The fertiliser smell from nearby farmland is real, and you do get used to it. Coffee holds its own, which matters out here.
Great food, great value and beautiful vibe here! There’s going to be a wait but it is worth it. Just don’t go there too hungry because it will take a bit for your food to arrive, especially on the weekend. We ordered a chicken burger too but it arrived after we finished our meal. Despite of that the rest of the food was great. The carrot cake was the best. One slice could feed four! It’s enormous ✨
Has a relaxed vibe due to it's setting in the country. I loved the conservation feel to the place. Food is good with ample portions and reasonable pricing. Oh, the coffee is also good. It's kid friendly with live music and friendly service. It can get busy depending on the time of day and weekends. Worth a visit.
my wife and I are from victoria, have lived there our whole lives. We decided on a spontaneous trip up to the gold coast, our son and his wife have just had a beautiful baby girl named Scout. So we’re up here to visit, we used to come to Surfers Paradise back in 1989 and we could not believe how much it has changed ! Today we celebrate our 23rd Valentine’s day together and we could not have picked a better venue. We ordered the steak sandwich, which was one of the best i’ve had in recent memory. I quite literally could not have changed or improved a single thing about it, the sourdough was perfectly fluffy and the steak was so yummy. Our lattes came out and they were as good as the coffee in Melbourne! we were shocked. I would have given 5 stars if it weren’t for the yucky smell from the fertilizer, but you end up getting used to it. Also, the carrot cake was to die for ! It was huge! such great value🙈 When our granddaughter has her next birthday we will most definitely be here again!!

Robina
Waterside pub on the Robina lake with a terrace, cold taps, and a menu wide enough for any group. The portions are solid, the setting does the heavy lifting, and Tuesday quiz nights have built a loyal local crowd.

Burleigh ters QLD
At $4.80 a plate, Honba's sushi train punches well above its price point. The aburi selection is the draw, particularly the cheese salmon roll and scallop, but the karaage chicken and crispy salmon skins are the sleeper hits. Arrive early. The dinner waitlist is real.

Love the food at Pasture & Co! The Beef Benny was the best, and the smashed avo was good, though I preferred the old menu with the hummus. The ambiance is lovely and makes it a great spot to hang out. Service could improve but overall, a nice experience!
Everything about this place us great. Food tastes great and the service team are friendly and cheerful. Overall a nice vibe within an environmentally conscious compound. The lemon meringue pie and pistachio latte tasted and looked good. (The lemon meringue is the kind that is sweet in the lemon and crust, and less sweet in the meringue, balancing it off nicely.) The dessert counter looks amazing too. Wish I could try all of it.
Varsity Lakes
Lake-facing and larger than it looks, Blackboard Varsity runs a tight ship at Varsity Lakes. The halloumi has its devotees, the 5:30am opens have their regulars, and the coffee art is taken seriously. Get in early; the carpark fills fast.
