The flat concrete bowl at the end of Gilmore Crescent has been a fixture of Byron's skate scene for years. Set back from the town centre near the industrial end of the Bay, it draws a mix of local groms, visiting skaters, and BMX riders who've done their research. The park runs free and open access, no bookings, no fuss. Expect a street-style layout with rails, ledges, and a bowl, though the condition of the surface varies depending on when council last paid attention. Morning sessions are quieter. Weekend afternoons bring the crowds and the noise. No lights, so once the sun drops behind the treeline, that's your cue to pack up. Bring your own water.

What People Say
Excellent skate park. We spend 2-3 hours a day when we come down to visit Byron here. The kids love it. Plenty to keep them busy practicing their skills. It’s busy but a very welcoming area. Scooters, skateboards, bmx are all there. Plenty of space as well. The council have done a really good job with the upgrades here.
Really nice park. Nice street section and decent bowl also. Well lit at night. Park is pretty new, it’s smooth to ride. Something here for everyone.
Went today for the first time and I love it! 2 big bowl options and a big space to practice some tricks!! There were a few people in the evening but there was still enough space to skate!! 🛹🛼
World class skate park for Byron ! This park was built for shredders of all levels with a big bowl, smaller bowl and mini -spine section and a wicked street terrain area.
One of the best Aussie skate parks. Vert bowl is smooth, mini is fast fun, street is unique and fun. Great skate scene there I think. Heaps of rollers.
